Khao Sok Rainforest

Khao Sok is situated in the Surat Thani province just a a couple of hours drive from a hot holidaymaker destination in Thailand known as Phuket. The rain forest is among the few unaffected rainforests in the world, its even older and more diverse than the Amazon rain forest. With lavish vegetation and a assortment of wildlife I'm amazed that most tourist who visit Thailand have never heard of it. What it is possibly most famed for the Bua Phut (Rafflesia kerrii) flower which grows within the park and blossoms one time a yr. If you're a plant enthusiast it's a cracking place to visit.

Their are some beautiful hotels there where you can stay in a tree house and nothing else but get closer with nature. You are able to even go camping in the rain forest with an experienced guide who will teach you how to live in the jungle. Going on your own or with inexperienced guides in not advised.

Phuket

When you hear tourists talk about Thailand they often discuss the wild nightlife, overwhelming shopping or the beautiful beaches, but it offers a once in a lifetime experience. Why not get close to nature and visit this beautiful rainforest.

This is a place you had good visit if you ever go to Thailand, believe me it will be among the most memorable experiences you'll have. I was at that place in Jan 2010 and did not think it would nothing else but be much as I'm not nothing else but into nature or the outdoors, but this trip has changed my mind forever.
