Bangkok Weather

The Southeast Asian city of Bangkok is said to have a tropical climate. The Thais divide the year into three seasons that they call cool season, hot season, and rainy season. Temperatures in the city rarely drop below 25° C (70° F). The months of October until February are carefully to be convenient for tourists.

The cool season runs from December to March, although there's normally just one week in December when temperatures are honestly comfortable. Temperatures dip down to a few centigrade in these months and normal life is affected only a little.

Bangkok Tour

The heat begins to increase soon after the New Year and by April or May, it can be roughly unbearably hot and humid. One of Thailand's most renowned festivals - Songkran, takes place in April and involves lots of water throwing to cool down. Temperatures are at the peak during the months of April and May, and it is very hot and sticky due to the increased sea winds. Later months of the year face a gradual fall in temperature.

The rainy season, which coincides with the European and North American summers, is characterized by heavy downpours and not so convenient for tourists. during the rainy season, there are very heavy downpours, but they commonly only last for an hour or so in the afternoon. The city annually records a maximum of 340 mm a year. Months of May and June to October contact very heavy rains. The rain cools down the high temperatures and cleans the air nicely that can be honestly relaxing after the heat. With the temperatures touching the peak, the rain is not cold. Most of the times, it can be just like a warm shower.

June to September experiences abundance of sunshine and is much cooler with the temperatures fluctuating around 24-28° C, but is the season for rain and is honestly refreshing. This has a lot of advantages like less visitors and best hotel rates. Best time to visit is from October until February when climatic characteristic ranges around 25- 28° C with light breezes and only the occasional showers.

Thailand Travel Ideas

When you arrive in Thailand, you'll probably fly into Bangkok and be thrown into a world of organised chaos. This city is the essential way to begin any Thailand trip. Street vendors selling fried scorpions and huhu grubs, tuk-tuk drives zigzagging their way in and out of the traffic and the amazing aroma at every street corner of spices and incense. Bangkok has a marvellous choice of temples, Wats and Buddha's and haggling at the markets for a fake Gucci watch or the price of a tailor made suit is an experience I would recommend to everyone travelling in Thailand. However In the last 15 years or so Thailand has been evolving from faraway destination for hardened travellers to what is becoming a package holiday. With air travel so readily available Thailand is now also a family travel destination. Thailand is also a great place to travel for the elderly and the inexperienced gap year traveller alike, and of course at a budget price. However, travelling in Thailand has something other than just the tourist route to follow and this article will give you some of those hidden gems that the throng of Thailand travellers will not have found... yet.

The majority of international flights to Thailand arrive in Bangkok and although this is not an area to miss, once you have seen the golden temples, Wat's and floating markets why not head a little out of the city to the north east to a street called Soi 1. Although it was previously a dirty little street with a smell rivalling that of open sewers things have now changed and in 2007 it was cleaned up and serves the most amazing local food to the locals and few Thailand travellers lucky enough to stumble across it. Intestines and entrails may be on the menu on many of the stalls but when travelling in Thailand why not try everything! And of course there is an array of locally cooked curries, pad thai and sticky rice for those Thailand travellers with slightly weaker stomachs. The cost to eat is minimal as it is off the tourist trail and you will get a true experience of what Bangkok used to be like before the Weston invasion.

Thailand Travel

From Bangkok you have many options at your disposal for your Thailand trip and with a travel agent on every corner offering you jungle treks and trips to the River Kwai you can quickly get sucked in to their sales patter. My advice is to avoid the mass route and if you are looking for something different on your Thailand trip jump on a bus to Sida, 3 hours north east of Bangkok passing through the stunning jungles of Koh Yai on the way. In the little village of Sida get off the bus and arrange a night in one of the few guest houses. From here the guest house owners will help you organise a home stay with a family in the local area - an unforgettable part of any Thailand trip. You can visit schools, live in with a local family, go frog hunting and depending on the time of year see how they harvest their crops, celebrate festivals and get a true idea of how a typical Thai family lives in the country side. A true Thaiand travel experience.

Travelling to the north of Thailand is a must as the jungle are dense and teaming with wildlife, but rather than stop at Chiang Mai where the majority of travellers in Thailand get off, keep on going. A night in Chiang Mai will give you time to visit local markets and explore the old town but don't stay too long as there is so much more to offer in this region. Heading North West by bus you will travel through some of the most beautiful serene country side and the winding road up through the mountains will make you feel a little queasy but the views and little towns you pass through will make this journey well worthwhile. Mae Hong Son a little further west is the home to the Paduang hill tribe famous for the numerous golden rings around their neck, "The long necks". Exploring this area by motor bike is the best way to see all the little hidden gems, meet the locals and with the Mekong River flowing along the border there is the opportunity to go white water rafting with a local guide. These experiences really will help you get hte most out of your Thailand trip.

The first thing many people think about when travelling to Thailand are the idyllic white sands of a picture perfect tropical island and with so many to choose from the question is which is the best. Well to be honest with such a large number of islands there is something for everyone travelling in Thailand. However if the thought of sharing a beach with a hundred other backpackers drinking Chang Beer and riding jet skis isn't your cup of tea then why not try one of the islands off the south west coast. There appears to be a trend of Thailand traveller who will go to a certain distance and explore no further but taking that extra little effort will open up and array of empty beaches, less developed little islands and friendly genuine locals. Taking the sleeper train from Bangkok south, almost every backpacker gets off at Surat Thani which gives you great access to the east coast islands but instead of following the crowds, stay on that train for another couple of hours to the station of Trang. From here you are reaching an area which has been largely kept out of the Thailand tourist route. The train station is 20 miles or so to the west coast and so getting a taxi to the port of Pak Meng and jumping on a boat out to one of these remote islands is easy to do. Koh Ngai which less than a 1 kilometre wide and with only 3 or four resorts is a great spot to start and an amazing place to relax during your Thailand trip. You can spend your day's snorkelling in the warm waters, reading your book under a palm tree or simply taking a walk along the white sandy beaches to one of the restaurants that serve an array of fish caught that morning. You truly will feel like you have found paradise.

Railay Beach, Thailand

Railay Beach, Thailand, also known as Rai Leh, is a beloved beach resort on the Andaman Coast in Krabi, Thailand. One of its prime attractions other than its gorgeous beach is the proximity of towering limestone cliffs.

Railay Beach, Thailand excites tourists with its unique access. Being a peninsula, cutoff from the mainland by oceans and mountains, it can be reached only by a longtail boat ride. Regular services are ready from Ao Nang, Krabi, Koh Lanta, Koh Phi Phi and Phuket.

Phuket

Tourists prefer Railay for two reasons - its tranquility and expected rock climbing opportunities. While its secluded nature attracts families and honeymooners, the limestone formations lure the backpacking crowd. Railay has room options to cater to these two groups.

Rayavadee Premier Resort on Phra Nang beach is the best room Railay has to offer. Being the lone resort on the beach, it offers faultless privacy for its guests. In the mid-range, Railay has a whole of room choices, most of them settled on its west side. Railay's funds accommodations, though not many, are found along its eastern side. The neighboring Ton Sai beach, settled barely 10 minutes away, has more choices in this segment.

Railay beach has a collection of restaurants and bars to cater to the needs of the tourists. Most of them serve the local cuisine that is both tasty and affordable. The west-end of Railay has a few hi-end restaurants, some of them settled on the beach.

Rock climbing is one of Railay's main reasons for popularity in the world tourist map. However, the steep limestone cliffs are not suitable for beginners. Avid rock climbers flock to Railay to enjoy the thrill and breath-taking sea views from the cliff tops.

Railay Beach Thailand also has puny possibilities for divers and snorkeling enthusiasts, as maritime life and coral reefs are not as absorbing or diverse as in other Thailand beaches. The sea caves along Phra Nang beach offer ample opportunities for kayaking enthusiasts.

How to Live Well on $1,000 a Month

My son is a university student, he receives a grant of £3,000 (,000) a year and somehow finances his life with that. I asked him how he manages on so little. He replied that the only things he spends money on are rent and food. He said he lives on 'Rice and ketchup'. For the time being he's happy adequate with his lifestyle, but let me tell you about an alternative to penny-pinching for adults with a low income.

Actually, I'm going to re-phrase that. The qoute is not having too low an income, it's the cost of living in countries together with the Usa, Canada, Ireland and Britain that is too high. But you you know that already if your home is in one of those places.

Phuket

To fill up a shopping cart at the supermarket costs a hundred pounds or the same in dollars. A cup of coffee in Starbucks is two dollars, a haircut is ten bucks and a short ride on a city bus .45. I guess some citizen take this in their stride, I don't. Those prices seem outrageous to me. Maybe it's tolerable if you are on a big wage, but some of us aren't and have petite expectation that we ever will be.

It appears that there are just two ways to adapt to this situation. Whether you are very faithful to spend only a minimum and all the time look for the cheapest options, from food to clothing and housing costs. Or you focus on pushing up your income by getting a good job or doing longer hours. But what kind of life is that? Depressing and tiring, I'd say. You have petite time for yourself and your house and when you are home what you need most is a opportunity to get some sleep and relax.

For many years I put maximum vigor into construction up a enterprise to make the income needed to live the buyer lifestyle. But doing so drained me and there came a point when I didn't feel like battling on. Despite earning a lot, I still had a bank overdraft and reputation card debts.

Then I took a radical step and moved to a cheaper country. It was a revelation; I discovered that the intense effort required to make a living in the rich, or should I say rip-off, countries is unnecessary. You don't have to work like a dog to live well. In fact you can have a very pleasant life on just a fraction of the money you've required in your homeland.

Why don't more citizen do this and live where a dollar goes far further? Part of the infer is the assumption that reduced living costs mean a poorer capability of life. In my concept it's verily the opposite; With lower outgoings you don't need to work so hard or for so long hours. The effect is that you can relax and enjoy life very much more. There is nothing to stop you taking some free time to do the things which make life fun. Maybe you like golf, tennis or sailing. Anything your favourite relaxation activity, having the opportunity to do it when you choose makes a great correction to your capability of life.

An issue that may concern you when mental about involving abroad is Whether you can earn money in your new country. The short write back is that in any part of the planet where you can get an internet connection you have the possibility of generating an online income.

Where to move to? There are many inherent locations. I chose Mexico and recommend it highly, but there are many other involving possibilities. Obviously some places are not suitable, but there are more that are.

The list of factors to think when mental about living abroad continues with housing, local language, distance from friends and family, healthcare, schooling for children, crime-risk, pests, climate and more.

I've experienced life in 6 countries and have described the advantages and drawbacks that I found in these places in an narrative you will probably find interesting.

Here's wishing you a happy ex-pat future.
