Trip to Chiang Mai of Thailand With Your Family

While you think of going to some foreign place for recreation of your whole family then Chiangmai is an ideal place. The flight would take you to the capital city of Thailand. Bangkok has an international airport from where different means of communications would take you to any part of Thailand. The international air tickets to Bangkok are of different prices depending upon the distance from the starting point of your journey. When you are traveling with your family various airlines agencies give you incentives on your international air tickets considering the number of travelers with you. This is however not the same always and changes during festivals or occasions.

On coming to Bangkok, you need to take a bus or train or hire a car for reaching Chiang with your family. The fastest means to get to Chiangmai from Bangkok is to take a flight. Many airline companies run flights daily up and down to Chiangmai. Some of them are Thai Airways, Air Asia, Bangkok Airways, Orient Thai Airlines, etc. However, Lufthansa or Kingfisher is not a part of the Chiangmai international airport. You can book your international air tickets directly to Chiangmai through air agencies like Thai Airways International, Air Asia, etc. It would save an hour's journey from Bangkok to Chiangmai. If you are not ready to spend too much on flights then a bus journey of 10 to 11 hours from Bangkok to Chiang can save much of your hard-earned money. The buses usually leave from Northern Bus Terminal of Bangkok city. The buses range from air-conditioned to non-ac. The charges also vary accordingly. Private buses that leave from other parts are also existent but the public buses are more reliable.

If you wish to go in your own car in that case take highways 1, 32, 117 and finally 11 one after the other to reach Chiang from Bangkok. Hua Lamphog rail station is the starting point for traveling to Chiangmai from Bangkok. Express trains traveling quite fast and takes almost 11 to 12 hours to reach Chiangmai. These are cheap as it is public transport. It is advisable to book the train tickets well in advance as the sleeper classes of the train gets filled much before. To return to your country directly from Chiang take any international flight or if you wish to get exceptional air service providers like Lufthansa and others then you will have to return to Bangkok first.
