Following a series of projects and activities launched in 2008, in 2009 Thailand is still proceeding on initiating as well as continuing activities which increase public awareness and understanding of ASEAN among people at all levels of societies. Under the current chairmanship of ASEAN, this year Thailand will be hosting 14th and 15th ASEAN summit meetings. It is hoped that these activities contribute in raising people’s awareness of ASEAN and build up sense of belonging of ASEAN among all the people through out the region.
